Facebook for every phone to debut In India Soon.

The social networking giant, Facebook is now turning its focus to feature phones after Smartphones and tablets.

Though the feature phones are largely extinct in U.S., Europe, and Canada, they still have a strong user base in the developing countries like India and Brazil.

“Facebook for Every Phone” is going to be announced very soon, and Facebook has been working on it from two years.

Facebook has 1 out of 8 of its mobile phone users worldwide, which access it from more than 3,000 different models of feature phones.

Most of these users belong to the developing countries and they pay very less amount to access Facebook.

The countries like India, Indonesia, Mexico, Brazil and Vietnam - are among the fastest-growing markets for use of the Internet and social networks, according to the research firm eMarketer.

Facebook spent a reported $70 million to buy Snaptu, which offers primitive versions of Facebook and other apps for simple cellphones.

Off late, many of the internet companies have been suffering in revenues as the user base is shifting rapidly towards mobiles and tablets, which carry lower ad rates than ads on PCs- which is getting redundant with every passing day.
